Social Programme

 

The conference fee includes the sightseeing tours planned for Saturday afternoon, namely:

 

 

.. A coach tour of Porto, visiting the major touristic and historic spots

.. A boat trip on Douro river

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will take place in a lovely restaurant of Taylor’s Port wine cellars. It will be preceded by a tour of the cellars and a Porto d’Honra, where Port wine and some appetizers will be served.

 

The price of the conference dinner is €50/person, to be paid on arrival.

 

Dinner programme:

19:15: Guided Tour of the Port wine cellars (30 minutes)

19:45: Tasting of Port wine; appetizers

 (olives with oregano, herb-sprinkled chips, orange juice and white Port wine

20:15: Dinner at at the Barão Fladgate restaurant

 

Menu:

Starters: broccoli soup with ravioli and cheese biscuit

Main course: Confit of pork rib with rice and cheese, caramel apple sauce,

    and vegetables

Dessert: Crème brûlée with cinnamon, and Port Wine (Fonseca Bin 27)

Drinks: Red wine (Romariz); white wine at request (Meia Encosta), 

    mineral water, soft drinks
